Well unfortunately the Tuka Anthias I tried didn't make it. 1 died the first night, the other 2 lasted about a month or so. I did manage to get them to eat a little, mostly cyclops-eeze. Just not eating enough to sustain them (really needed to feed them many many times per day).
Great looking tank. I really like the single overflow. Sorry if you already mentioned it, but is it a custom tank? The only ones I've seen in that dimension are the older oceanic 156's.

Hey thanks! Not custom, was an option (although not the standard) when I ordered it, don't know the price of the standard 150, but I don't believe I paid more for these dimensions (maybe paid a little more). Sorry I can't give a better answer but it was ~2.5 years ago when I ordered it and I was such a newbie that I don't think I knew what was really happening. I do remember specifying a single overflow vs. 2 corner ones. So I believe they already had the tank built, and they just drilled it and added overflow for me.
That is a mystery wrasse. Definitely once of my favorites, and is the most expensive fish I have purchased. It has also done a great job at getting rid of unwanted flatworms. Unfortunately he has a taste for crabs/snails/and shrimp. I have seen him grab nassarius snails and toss them around. He has definitely had a couple of my cleaner shrimp. But in the end, it is well worth it IMO.
Can't say from experience as the mystery is my only wrasse. However this is what some web sites have to say:
Mystery Wrasse
"It is an excellent fish for a reef aquarium and passive with most popular reef fish, including other wrasses."
Melanurus Wrasse
"Initial phase individuals can be kept in small groups in the aquarium and will not bother other wrasses, including closely related species."
I would think the larger the tank, the less likelihood of conflict. Hope that helps...
So it's been a while and I have been updating a few things. I decided to utilize the 39" x 75" inch closet (with a slanted ceiling no less) behind the tank in a new way. I moved the sump from under the tank and re-plumed it into the new "fish room". Much easier access to skimmer and stuff. I also added a rack of 3 20 gallon long (30x12x12) tanks (frag on top, refugium in middle, and kalk top off on bottom). For this new frag tanks lighting I dove into the world of LEDs. I built it using a 6x9 heat sink, 12 Cree 3 watt LEDs, dimmable driver, aluminum chassis, acrylic protective shield. So far it is looking and working great (thanks to all the LED gurus in the DIY forum). Definitely a good experience as I eventually would like to build about 4 of these type units (although with 24 LEDs and optics) to replace my T5s on the main 150 gallon. So here are a few updated pics with FTS, fish room, LEDs... Enjoy.
