So what happened to the site? Lost of sale threads!

Sadly participation has been down for the clubs, some of the old reefers that have been doing it for years see little reason to attend the events and quite a few of the new people are all about buying, selling and fragging. Social events in the clubs have taken a hit due to that. This hobby does have it's peaks and valleys tho, biggest issue tho is many browse the forums but don't post and without newer posts others sometimes wont post either, which causes a downward spiral on activity on the forums.

A bad pic but it's a start lol I did it Marius so can you!!

Ok. You motivated me! I think its coming back to me.

I raided Your Reef on Black Friday with the fam.

Don't worry, all the rock is under water now. Added more water. The bin isn't very happy.

Getting back in in crossing my mind... Girlfriend and I might go to Your Reef to go see how fish look. I was thinking someone might happen to be selling a 30"x30"x24" starfire tank for super cheap :)

I kept lights, RO/DI, 100 gallon mixing tank, some pumps and rock .. it'd be too easy to get back in.

Hey everybody. Tank should be going by the end of the week. I'll do a build thread and pictures once I have a few more to post and get a little bit further along.

The tank had only ever been used for freshwater and even though it has a beautiful center overflow it had never been drilled. Drilling holes in it was very intimidating but I have the whole system planned out now except for details on exactly what frag tank is going to go in the stand.

I have everything I need except for the lights which should arrive any day now at Your Reef.

It's going to be 4-side viewable and I'm going to drop power through a dry tube/bulkhead in the overflow so it won't have any wires running to it. Also going to do pumps only on the center overflow and try to hide them as much as possible. I'm pretty excited about it.

Details coming soon!

Wow, sounds like this is going to be a nice build. Looking forward to hearing and seeing what you do.

Pics and build thread!

I'll post a new video in the next couple of days. My best camera is a commercial video camera. I can do several hours of build thread work in 5 minutes with the video camera.

I had a quick run off and on, and I agree with the mention of too fast, too impatient. Took six years off until I fell back into it researching LEDs and saw how far they've come. I suppose the economy has done a number as well.

Starting small this time, though I have a 57 rimless setup and a 120 setup in storage, lol. Heck I just picked up a 20g diy aio frag setup for cheap just two days ago and I'm already trying to get rid of it realizing I don't need it. Really.need to watch the excitement of it, almost becomes a vice for some. Looking through the most recent threads here and there are some gorgeous tanks here still.
