Gotcha. Does the wall sit flush to the back, meaning are there canals and tunnels and places for the fish to get behind the wall and hide, or is it flat up against the back wall with no cracks etc...to get behind it?

i chiseled away a hole in the back to run the powere cords for my two power heads behind it, but the back wall flexes a little, with a little push i was able to keep the sides flush. there is a very small space but not noticeable at all. i have noticed a serpant star sticking a leg out of it before, but he has since relocated, and they can fit in any crack and crevice.

Ok that would be my only real worry is hiding fish/livestock in crevices behind there sounds like you got it worked out...really an amazing looking wall.

You guys with the discoball pendent..How high is your pendent from the water ? some of my coraline is starting to bleach, i'm thinking it might be a bit close to the water..that and i went from 10k to 14k...

Thanks..

Just got my mp20 arrived today. after I hooked it up, not as impressive as I expected.....
1. how thick our solana glass is, 1/4 inch?
2. I have seen the video showed the mp20 "shakes" the water and making the waves, which mode was that? I tried reef mode which I don't think it was the correct mode.
3. do you need to slow down the pump? I am running it full speed but still have the deadspot at least, the debris/poos accumulates at the bottom of LR

I would think you might have to slow it down some, I've read posters doing that to both the MP20 and MP40w...you could try it and see, wouldn't hurt. I'm sure more MP20 owners will chime in and help you out.

Lastduke,

I have an MP20 and while I do not make the wave, it can be done. Set your unit on short pulse, leaving the unit at full power. Then hit the button on the right to control the time. dial it about half way up and you should be close, but you may have to tweek it. The trick is to match the time it takes the wave to reach the other side of the tank and come back to the side the prop unit is on. As soon as the wave hits the side of the tank the prop is on it must be time for the unit to send another pulse.

Noblerot, thanks for the information. That sounds good way to get the wave, I will try it today afterwork. My zoas were closed because of the flow was dramaticlly increased at the bottom of the tank. I am running BB and don't have the sand storm problem. Which mode you are using with your MP20?

Yeah, I do not use the vortech for the getting the debris off the rocks. I have 2 double returns strategically positioned to collect the debris. I have it worked out where it all gets pushed to the back right corner of the tank. For water change time it makes for a quick clean up.

Interesting, noblerot, can you post your tank picture here to show the position of the returns and rock layout? I am thinking to go like that.

Yeah, here is a pick of the tank before it was up and running so you can see the double returns. The second one runs Filter Guy CGAC, Purgen, and Phosphate remove in a canister. The original return pushes water through the chiller.

Here's a current front shot. Not a lot of coral yet as I have only been up and running for 7 weeks.

I will have to take a picture of the back shortly.

Nice looking tank, I like the rock work you made, It seems like I have too much LR in the tank. To run a BB, I wasted a lot of space to create a 'hollow' base rock by three 4 pieces LR. here is the picture without the upgrades. but the layouts of LR are the same.
