Does anyone have a calcium reactor on their Solana?

Can anyone tell me exactly how calcium reactors work and how you have yours hooked up to your Solana ? Why is a dual chamber calcium reactor better than a single chamber?

I would not run a Ca reactor on a nano. It will probably lower the ph in your display quite a bit, and if the solenoid fails more than likely everything in your tank will be killed

I recently purchased the solana 34, and the model number on the manual is #7043, I know from the Current website their solana 34 model is #7048, does anyone know the difference?

thx

its just every time they change one little thing on the tank even adding alittle brace where the filter sponge is is a new improved model.

Anyone with anemones on a solana? A close friend of mine has some very nice rose bubble tip anemones on his tank that keep spliting and he is gonna give me one for free...

Any tips on keeping a 4" rose bubble tip on a solana? I have the nova extreme pro T5 lighting and a koralia #1 for extra flow.

bxz,

You have been lucky enough to get a new Solana "Starphire Glass" Model, same as what I just swapped my original #7048 one for. The glass is a "Super Clear" glass, and I have both tanks side by side and its a lot less "green" than the original. I know they just started shipping these again, and so if you just got it you got one of the first ones. They will become more available now that distributors are getting them.

One thing I'm not totally happy about is the logo in the bottom left corner of the front of the tank...but its small enough to not really bug that much.

Hi TriggerHappyDude, thx for the good info, that means I was really lucky! I found 2 solana sets (tank, stand and T5 fixture) on the website with exact description except price, I asked but they didn't seem to know the difference, so I went ahead get the cheaper one, when I got it, initially I thought it might be an old model, that's why it's cheaper, now according to what u mentioned i might have hit the jackpot. again, thx.

Well they did have a test run, to test the market on the Starphire version a few months back, so this might be one left over from then, which doesn't make them any less valuable. Does yours have the current "wave" logo in the bottom left corner in the front?

I don't think thats right. They have a 25 gallon clear glass version but I don't think its the #7043...from what I was told this is the new 34gallon Starphire version. I will ask my Current-USA connection and confirm.

I'm pretty sure my box and documentation said 20x20x20 cube...and its #7043.

yes, there's the current USA logo at the left corner, looks not bad. Mine is the 34 gal.
