Some clown babies missing ventral fins?

I'm approaching day 30 on about 35 clown fry that I managed to raise. Overall they seem very healthy.. developing nice color and eating well. However, I'm also noticing that a handful are missing one or both ventral fins. I expect its probably because they're pecking at each other? Or maybe a mutation? If that's the case, can I expect that they will regrow these fins, or are they lost forever? Anyone else experience this?

They should regrow if not bitten completely down to the base, I'd say. Just keep them healthy. If they're biting, maybe they need more hiding spots or more space?

What species are they?
If they are Premnas (maroons) you need to separate them or they will kill each other.
