I drove from a small town called Homer to a bigger town called Anchorage this weekend, around 10:00pm or so we stopped to take some pictures, the moon was a little more than half full and it was just really nice looking so we thought I might as well play with the long exposure settings on the camera.
Tripod was a Honda Civic roof
Most of these are 30 second exposures, although I think one might have been 20.
Notice the constellation Orion above the mountains...
Here's a shot I just liked, nothing in particular to mention about it though. The foreground is really well lit up but that is just because there is a light way far away and over 30 seconds the sensor really picked up a lot of light.
And then this is my first ever shot of car lights, was kind of cool
I got some pretty good eagle pictures over the weekend in Homer, I'll post some in the next couple days.
