Right side today, tan area on sand is where the algae has died.

Just cleaned my wp40 and in the process noticed how much friction there is between the propeller and the place it inserts in the housing. I placed a dab of plumbers silicone on both ends of the propellers stems and now the pump is almost completely silent. No more whine at full power...yay!

AC died this evening, have repair man coming in the afternoon. Thank goodness I have 5 gallons of top off water at 44 degrees. House is 84 now but was been around 85 all day. Tank was at 79 when I came home and is at 80 now since I have been troubleshooting the ac and it's been blowing hot air on the tank.

I used to do ac repair. I'm sure you checked breakers as well as outside disconnect. Is the outside fan turning? If not it could be a 24v problem, you can try pressing the contactor (careful 220 voltage) to see if its the transformer or thermostat or its the contactor itself. Is your filters clean, low air flow can cause coil to freeze up and stop cooling. If its the compressor it might just need a hard start kit.

Best of luck...

Thanks mark!, Everything turns on and blows, it starts blowing cold then it seems like a valve gets stuck and then the hot air start going. We have a friend of the family coming get out in the morning so should be OK till then.

Are you tripping the breaker to the outside condenser unit?

Yes, the input line gets super hot, 135 degrees then the cold air stops.

Its normal for the smaller tubing to get hot. If the compressor and all the fans are running you might just have a freon leak. Just know Freon never wears out, so if it needs a charge, there is a leak.
