Sonicboom's 180 build in Tampa

Happy new year to you too! No overheating issues, I just felt the power supply was too hot for my liking and I had some parts laying around so put on my thinking cap...lol

After a few more heat sinks and some left over closet wire shelving I cleaned up the dry side. Just need some wire wrap to hide the rest of the cables.

Oh and it swivels completely

I'm starting to think I need to add a chloramine filter before my RO. I replaced the Di resin today and after 25 gallons it's 50% used. This is after replacing the stage 2 GFO, 3 GAC and 5 .

It will be the best move you ever made. It helped me out when the city decided to change the way they try to rid the water of bad bacteria.

But now that I think, when I redid mine and after the water fully ran through both my DI cartridges they both had half change colors.

Ordered and installed a BRS refillable catalytic carbon container in one of my RO chambers and am disappointed that it is about 1/32 of an inch too short and allows all the water to bypass the carbon...

Curious. You aren't missing either a top or bottom rubber gasket are you?

Funny I remember seeing a gasket on top but not one on the bottom. Thanks I will recheck the box as soon as I get home.

Sure was. Got tied up cleaning and refilling the reactor. But there was no gasket anywhere for the lower portion. I was at my lfs and they had refillable canisters for 5 bucks so I picked up another and it had no gasket at the bottom. That leads me to believe there is no gasket for the bottom. Anyway I watched my other sediment filter in action and think it is supposed to come out the side, fill the container, then flow up from the bottom and into the next chamber. Not sure so I packed it full of carbon and let it go. Started filling my RO/Di and after about 20 gallons there was no changes in resin color. I may be good for now.

That's good news. Mine doesn't have a gasket on the bottom either if you are referring to the DI resin. And you are correct about it filling from the bottom up slowly.

Any see any issue or a better way to add 1 outlet off my drain?

Currently I have this

And want to add this

I would be able to close the ball valve slightly to add more flow out the manifold. This is going to feed an XL MR1 dual. Thanks, I have been throwing around ideas and is all I could come up with other than a maxijet.

You could put a union attached to that and then put the T and then put the gate. Makes it longer, but you would NOT have to remove the bulkhead.

That is why using a gate/union makes adding/modifying really easy.
