Sonny, Awesome pics and tank..
on the first page you mentioned that you dose 70ml of 2 part each day, is this the same amount you are dosing now? what about Magnesium? How much per day?

Currenly I dose 70ML a day of CA and ALK, 1.5 cups of MG after every gallon of CA and ALK. I will be needing to up my dosage as my corals are really growing rapidly now and I just added a 30gl frag tank to the system. I will take some tests today to determine how high the dosage will be.

BTW, I am using Randy's Two part Recipe one.

Good question DML.
Do you ever get all of the Magnesium to dissolve? I still havent found a way to get it to dissolve even with hot/ warm water.

I have never been able to get it to dissolve 100% so I wouldn't worry about it. In Randy's article it even says that some of the solution will not dissolve.

sunny, i just got back from viewing a local tank builder's work and i must say i'm extreemly impressed. i will be putting in the order for the 48x24x20h, 3sides starfire with polished and beveled edges tank within a day or two. I will also order the ATI 8x 54 and oceanic tech stand tomorrow am. I can't believe I waited this long to decide but it looks as if i'm finally going to do it. I already have a bubble king mini 200 skimmer, ca reactor, and custom sump,a pair of programmable Tunze 6100's, 4korellia 4's (i'll upgrade those later), custom build kalk reactor with a custom built ATO, and a 3 channel aquadoser that i'm currently using and will use that on the new system. I already got someone lined up to buy my exsisting tech 90 and he's willing to wait until i transfer all my stuff over. I guess that was the writing on the wall! Can't wait to start building the system. I'm like a kid on xmas day!! I will start my own post and not interfere with your post anymore but just wanted to let you know what you're responsible for since you went rimless! I told the wife to blame YOU!!:D :D. btw the tank will take like 3 weeks to be completed so i will wait untel then to start posting:D

Nice! Congrats! You and your wife will not regret it. :D Its always exciting to setup a new system. :)

Please keep me updated with the progress, and if you need anything please dont hesitate to ask.

143gadgets: thanks! I cant wait to see your new system! :D

I just wanted to drop a quick update on the frag tank. The tank has been plumbed and is now fully operational. I ended up using an Ehiem 1250 for a return pump. I was at the LFS looking around and they had an Ehiem 1250 sitting around. It was used and missing the outlet nozzle but for $10 I had to buy it. I went home and retrofitted a new outlet nozzle with some PVC, super glue. The Plugged it in and it is working flawlessly.

I will have some pics tonight after I get out of school. Finals week! ARGH!! :mad2: :eek1:

Picked up a nice zoo yesterday. I don't know what it is yet, maybe blue/purple hornet??

I just got back into zoo's so I will leave the ID to you experts:

Nice score Sonny..They appear to be the Purple Hornets, but there is so much contriversy over them I dont know whats true and whats not. Still a nice piece non the less..
Are you planning on running a skimmer on your frag tank? Is it going to be plumbed into your existing tank or seperate?

Sonny, did I mention you also have me thinking of setting up my old frag tank again and have it plumbed with my big tank as well. You are a bad influence on people. hahahahaha

Thanks. The frag tank is plumed into the main system. With an over sized skimmer I should have no problem handling the extra bio load.

Sunny, I'm running a sunlight supply tek w/ 6 bulbs and I'm thinking of going with the Aquactinics 7 like you have or the ATI powermodule w/ 8 bulbs.

My tanks a 120
Your thoughts

run.... run for your life...

So have you thought about changing out bulb combos in the future what are you thinking about going with? ( dont tell me you are sticking to the same combo i know you are curious to try a diff combo )
