Tank looks amazing. Really love the deep dimension. What is the first coral in this post? Also do u feed your coral at all?

clowndude: I believe that coral to be A. Desalwi. It could possibly be A. Plana though. It's white with green polyps and purple tips. It was actually two frags that I mended together thinking that they were the same coral. They don't sting each other, but they don't seem to be encrusting together. I guess time will tell.

Thank you for the inspirational tank. Can you show some pictures of the equipment? I also like the fact that you are dosing vodka I started dosing today :)
Questions
1) what two part are you using
2) how are the lights set what time on off?
3) what salt brand
4) what brand of bulbs .....I like the color they give off
5) do you have a refugium?

Thanks amazing tank it's just what I needed to move forward.

The sump isn't much to look at; I don't care to post any pictures of it. It's basically just a place to put my skimmer and dosing pumps. It's a 30g ish tall with an added baffle to prevent microbubbles.

For vodka, I suggest you take it slowly. I personally never had any negative side-effects from dosing vodka over the last two years I've been dosing it. I say start with a very low dose, and raise it very slowly until your corals respond. If you see corals paling, reduce the dose. Good luck!

1: For two part dosing, I use Randy's two part recipe
2. Photoperiod:
-1000hrs - LEDs on
-1030hrs - 1st MH on
-1045hrs - 2nd MH on
-1800hrs - All off
-1800hrs - Actinic LEDs on (12x 1w leds for night viewing)
-2230hrs - Actinics off
3. Instant ocean (will be switching to reef crystals next month)
4. Bulbs colors
-2x phoenix 14k
-5x DIY 14 LEDs fixtures
*7RB
*5CW
5. Refugium: not really. There are a couple of LR in the sump to allow pods to reproduce without predation, but there's no dedicated part for a fuge.

The only times I've witnessed bad polyp extension, it was due to pests. Nipping fishes could be to blame too but I've never had that problem.
