SPS color changed in one month @o@

it looks like a bleached coral finally came back to its normal healthy self.
i always question when I see white corals for sale.. if they are bleached badly
or if they are normally that color.

good job. much better looking now!

+1 . Im trying to do it the opposite way now. Bought a browned out pink millie hope it turns out nice! Great save!

Here's what I did for a DIY auto doser...

1) Buy and prepare the BRS 2-part mix (use the calculator to determine amt needed daily)
2) Buy 2 "Aqualifter" pumps (I think mine are "Tom's" and are like $11 each)
3) Buy 2 gang valves AND 2 digital timers which will work with 1 minute intervals
4) Buy some typical airline hosing
5) Insert one end of airline into gallon jug, other end to the "inlet" on aqualifter
6) Connect another piece of airline to the pump "outlet," and the other end to a gang valve
7) Play with the gang valve while the pump is "on." Set the gang valve and collect the contents of the solution pumped out. After 2 minutes measure the amount you have. If you need 30ml and only 15ml have pumped out, then you would need the pump "on" for 4minutes per day...(you get the point...a little math and patience involved here)
8) After all measurements are correct and you have the gang valve set, you would set the timer to turn the pump on for the correct time each day...

When it's all said and done you will have created 2 dosing pumps for about $30 vs. 2 for $200-250....now, take the other $200 you would have spent and buy a case of beer and some new corals!!!!!!!!!!!! AAAAAAAAAAAAhahahaha

Seriously though, this is what I did and voila! Stable params for months now, no more hand dosing. Just be sure to test regularly in the beginnning, and after stable once a week should do.

Don't make the mistake I did (made a mistake in setting the timer) and pump 1/4g of solution in the course of a day....can you say "massive water change?"

You could google "Tom's DIY Dosing Pump" or something like that...I found a video of someone who did this, so the idea isn't mine....
