Ohh, one other thing-

When I was told this was a tort, I always assumed in my mind it was an ORA tort, although I have no reason to assume this, I guess. Is there a distinguishing characteristic between the ORA and the Oregon tort. if you can describe it to me, maybe I'll be able to tell a little more over here.

I havent decided yet. I really liked the phoenix a lot. But since it was the only MH bulb I had really spent much time with, I needed to 'test the waters'.

The Ushio 14k looks great as well, especially after a couple weeks burning the slight yellow color out. It's brighter (or maybe my old phoenix bulb was just getting dull). I've seen a recent growth spurt (again, maybe the phoenix was just getting old)

And while the phoenix was definitely 'blue', this one is definitely 'white'. So it depend on what you like. I'm just waiting to see how things respond.

Cali tort = Grows in inches every few months.
Oregon tort = Grows in inches every few years.

Mine seems somewhere in between, growing maybe 2-3 inches in about a year and a half. Maybe I have a slow growing Cali, or fast growing Oregon.

BTW, can someone tell me if the ORA tort is a Cali tort?
