I am building a shallow sps tank also , I enjoy reading what about your tank

UPDATE:

Well, my lack of DIY skills broke 3 grinding bits and made my overflow box look like a piece of crap. Fortunately, HOBOGATO acrylic extraordinaire lives in town and will be able to make me a calfo style overflow which was what i wanted from the get go but the glasscages people dont know what it is... (longest sentence fragment ever..LOL)..

All these set backs are a pain in the bum..

If you ever need to widen slits in acrylic overflows again, use a file. It takes longer than a dremel, but you have way more control. Anyway, I love the set up! Looking forward to seeing it loaded with corals!

Everything would have been perfect if the fish's periods wouldn't have attracted the bears..LOL

If i didnt have highs and lows this wouldnt be fun at all i think.. i like the challenge..

UPDATE:

Well, i have something REAAAAAAAAALLY cool cooking so stay tuned

A few new additions:

-A NEW Calfo over flow (Thanks HOBOGATO!)

-An Aqua Medic Reef Doser Quadro (Will be using 2 part B Ionic instead of going for a calcium reactor).

-A JBJ Reaction 4-Stage Canister Filter + UV EFU-35 (It has a built in 5w UV sterilizer..hehe..That makes my tank have 40 watts..LOL)..

-Going to try out the Elos Complete Marine Fish Food and see how they like it. It has really good reviews.

I've seen some pretty sweet results from the Elos food. Even the live rock colors popped!
