Phwoar. That is a tasty tank. I really like the spacing you've given each coral and the growth they're showing. Lovely combination of different species (is that LPS a Micromussa? It's gorgeous and enormous!) and restrained but effective fish stocking.

Great to see a UK reefer on RC as well (I'm based in Japan, but from the UK).

Yep that is a micromussa, it eats none stop - feeding polyps are out catching any flake/frozen that it can. It has put on a good bit of size since I've had it and coloured up well too.

Thanks Tony. I have what I thought was a Micromussa, but it doesn't look anything like that. Seen a couple out here that do look like that though. You've inspired me to consider investing in one at some point.

Great colors I like the aquascaping its different in a good way. I tend to see people going crazy with too much rock, nice to see a new look to aquascaping. What test do you use for your iodine? What product do you use?

I got heavy handed about 6 months ago lets put it this way my neon greens tuned olive, my blues went to almost brown, not all but a good chunk, just this month are they coming back.

I used to use Salifert Iodine test kits, I don't test any more. The reason is I under dose iodine. I'd always suggest taking it easy with iodine; as you've found out it can mess up your corals.

I dose The Reef Aquatics iodine.

Excellent! I'm planning something very similar in terms of low aquascaping. Like you I think allowing the corals to grow and fill the space rather than filling with rock is far more natural looking.

It grows fast like a weed and I sell or exchange it at the shop for salt, flake food etc. So it helps reduce the running costs of the tank.

No sorry. I added the corals first, the system ran for nearly a year with no rock at all. Rock was added as some of the sps fell over under their own weight/mass; they needed to be fixed down.
