I was going to get a 48x48x30 but it was almost $800 more. A true 4 foot cube would be cool but can you imagine cleaning or working on it.

THAT ROCK IS SOOOOOOOOOOOO BADASS! It will really look good when it gets covered in coraline. There are so many places to stack frags on that rock it's not even funny. That's awesome. Good looking tank bro.

Well yesterday was 1 week with saltwater and I just did my water tests. I've got the brown diatoms starting to appear on some of the sand and rock. Here are the test results.

NO2 - .75 ppm
NO3 - 30 ppm
NH4 - 1.25
PH - 8.2
ALK - 8.6

Well I ordered a bunch of different snails to start eating the brown diatom's on the sand and RC, and the nuisance algae growing on the live rock. The fun part of cycling continues. I picked up a coralife powercompact fixture for my fuge that fits over it pretty well. One of my Icecap MH ballasts quit working on me this weekend, it would start to light the bulb then quit, over and over. Icecap is sending out a replacement already.

Gosh, thats my dream tank...right down to the DIY skimmer with the H&S pumps and the black silicone, open top, and the TUNZE 6200s. POOP. I wish my place would accomidate something those dimensions...I have to settle for something long and narrow instead.

Any pics of the skimmer?

REEFER714 - Nice Tank! I priced out that exact tank, but because of all the holes I wanted for my closed loops, they had to temper too much and the price shot up. Do you have a build thread?

I bought the tank used from my friend he bought it new for a little over 2G and use it for 1 year. He sold it because he doesn't have the time to take care of it. I like the closed loops idea but i am not a very handy man so i just go with 4 tunze 6200 my totall GPH is 21000+ without the return from the sump. I just rearrange the tunze. I have it all mounted on the back wall on pulse mode. I have tons of flow now compare to the interval 2
