I tried to get 18-20 orange-lined cardinals for my tank and the company ordered a group of 30, none survived the quarantine period at the store and a second batch of 40, of which 3 survived. It was so frustrating I finally got a shoal of anthias. My only regret is that I only got three. I wish I would have got 5 or 7![]()
We have male and female blue-throat triggers, and they're both pretty fat.Originally posted by Jar*Head
Mike, what fish do you have in the office tank that could possibly eat other fish. I don't remember you mention triggers or eels...
WOW...after a head count in the 470 which wasn't easy, I was surprised that I came up with 73 fish. More than I thought that I had in the tnak.Originally posted by Goodwin9
I'm running a H&S A300-3X1260 skimmer on the 600. I'm not trying to say that 100 fish isn't possible, but more the size of the fish that make up the tank should determine the total. The comment I hear the most when someone looks at my tank for the first time is the number of fish that I have in the tank. 100 fish are a lot of mouths to feed. I shut off all four pumps when I feed the tank so that there isn't any water movement to make sure that they are eating all I feed.
I'll count the number of fish I have in my 470 tomorrow for you. It's been a while and I really don't know how many I have in that tank.
