Steve. are you looking for easy anthias? I would recommend Bartletts or squamipinnis. I currently have 6 bartletts and 7 squamipinnis. I feed them once a day and they are all fat/happy.

Typhon, thank you. Yes i am looking for easy Anthias. Lets see pic of your Anthias collection. :D

We have male and female blue-throat triggers, and they're both pretty fat.

hmmm, sound like a good suspect :D

Here are pics from my tank. First is a Green chromis. Second is Blue/Green chromis. Third pic is from the 470 where you can see most of the group of Blue/Green chromis.

WOW...after a head count in the 470 which wasn't easy, I was surprised that I came up with 73 fish. More than I thought that I had in the tnak.

73? That is not too bad :D

I really prefer blue-green over the green chromis, they seem to be more docile and are prettier, IMO.

I hope they are not hard to get. Do i have to special order it from Fiji

Mr. HOP, what type of Anthias do you have? Do you have to feed 3 times a day?

Just the lyretails. I try to feed twice a day on the days I work and three times on the weekends. They seem to be doing fine. I'm not sure I feed more with these than I would any other fish, I just divide the feedings up. About 1-2 cubes per day. They each have gotten larger and fatter since I got them.

Probably a good idea to keep the wife fed and happy also to avoid any issues with her feeding three times a day:lol:

nice find. Valves scare my wife.

During the two months when i was at school we have a power outtage, the sump overflow. She called and ask what she should do. I told her to shut off the valve. Guess what she asked? Which one? :D. After half an hour of explaining she found the valve  now we have an issue. The cheap Home depot valve got stuck :(. Never again i will use that cheap POS valve.

What surprise me the most was the corals look better when she take care of it :)

ouch. yeah, the cheap valves do get stuck and I try to warn people about that. And some do not close 100% either.

I use all cepex valves and sch.80 in my new tank. No more oops or i should have use the better kind :D

Your tank is only as strong as your weakest link. Sch 80 is the only way to go when setting up a big tank. Besides what's another $600 for plumbing parts when you in this deep? We're talking about pennies on the dollar here.

yeah but why waste the money on sch 80 when you don't have any water in the tank? right steve?

:P

SNAP

Personally I think Sched 80 is only necessary for the bulkheads. Most of our applications don't require the high-pressure security that Sched 80 affords. I particularly don't like the fact that Sched 80 pipe has a smaller inner diameter than Sched 40, which restricts flow. All that being said, Sched 80 pipe does come in gray in the large local hardware stores, so it's easy to get without mail ordering which is often necessary for gray Sched 40. And you know how much I like gray PVC Steve!

true dat! You get less internal space with schedule 80...but they fit much better. You can get schedule 40 in colors now anyway, like gray and black.
