So i read somewhere you used to dose vodka but quit, I was wondering if you dosed anything else along with the vodka for nitrate reduction, and how the tank parameters are since you quit? I noticed you used popov correct?

Yes i used to dose Vodka and i quit after 2 incident with Cyano Bacteria outbreak. My system is around 700g and i only dose 5ml along with Micro bacter 7. I am no longer dosing any bacteria or doing anything unusual except water change and heavy feeding.

Since i stop dosing Vodka and Bacteria i am running a large fuge 48x40 full with chaeto and Caulerpa and 150lbs of live rock. I also run a 150w Emperor aquatic U.V and 300mg/h of Ozone as well as Rowaphos and carbon. My parameter are much better now...

Hello, MB7 works very well but i rather use it with Biofuel. Vodka and Biofuel both are carbon source to feed the bacteria which is the MB7

The VHO really make a huge difference...I'd be hard-pressed to only use them dawn/dusk with the way your livestock pops now!

Scott, you will love the bulb combo between the ATI blue plus and Fiji Purple. It made everything glow like black light hahahahaha
