Steve's 480g upgrade 730g total Zeovit system

Love the tank! All the fish are amazing!!! I travel alot for work also, it is scary leaving my tank for months at a time. When I travel it is usually only for a few months at a time 13 would put me (and the misses) over the edge stress wise... GOOD LUCK!

I see you took off my lights :D. Can't wait to put them over my tank.. Your tank is looking amazing Steve!

Look like underwater natural..!!
great...:bounce3:

Look like we will need a Honda generator cuz they are much quieter compare to other generator but they are very expensive.

Steve

Solid choice. This is what I have. I try to run once a quarter and it always starts like a charm...guess that's what we expect from a Honda. You will need to calculate what you can run off it as even the largest portable Honda gen won't handle all the load. Remember a 3kw gen does not mean it produces 3kw.

When we have outages, I run the main pump, heater, and controller to keep load at min.

Steve, look at Yamaha generators too. Just as quiet as the Honda's and (they were when I got mine) a bit less expensive.

Steve-

I can't think of a more justified reason to take down a tank than to serve your country abroad. We will certainly miss seeing updates on you masterpiece but I am glad to hear you are holding onto your equipment for when you return. Lookout out there and please do is all a favor and use your thread to keep in touch with us. We will all be thinking of you!! Be safe!

Steve took his tank down? Did he ship out?

Good evening. I have been in Afghanistan for sometime now it was almost like a surprise because i was told different word till the last week they decided to tell me on friday that i am up for Tuesday flight. It is a part of being a Marine that we have to be ready at all time. Thanks god i prep my family couple months prior just in case i have to go.

I will be here till next May but i may get the opportunity to take 2 weeks off to come home to welcome my new baby boy :D.

Something about Afghanistan:

Personally i wouldn't want to have a reef tank here. It is so hot in the summer. The outside temp at 10pm is about 90 degrees and 110 degree at noon. This is not even summer yet. I heard it will get up to 140 degrees in the summer. That is enough for the heat.

It is so dusty here that the sand is finer than sugar grain and every time the wind pick up you will wish to be inside.

The air here is much thinner due to the elevation so running wasn't fun for the first couple weeks. I feel like i am a heavy smoker every time i go out for a run.

The only good thing that i could thing of about afghanistan is the best place for those who want to loose weight hahahaha.

I don't have much chance to logon here plus i won't be able to see any picture. They are currently working on wifi for morales support to the troops. I hope that will be up and running soon.

Great to heasr from you steve. I'm glad your doing well! Stay safe my man and thank you very much for what you do for our country!!!
