Ryan,
The tradewind chillers dont need a doghouse for them like regular units.
They are designed to sit outside like home AC units.

My doghouse? No more planning bro. I will find a company to do the insulation in denver. I will do the floor by myself. Wish me luck :D

Can't wait to see this beast up and running!

I am itching everyday to get the tank up and running.

Well, i found a helper in Denver area to give a hand with the insulation. I will start with the floor first then work my way to the wall.

BTW, my wife read the thread and she confirmed the size of my aquarium over the phone (BUSTED). I should log off everytime i am done with the computer :(

Suppose to be 84x36x24. Since this is my last upgrade, i am not going to settle with something less then 8f long and 4f wide :D. She'll get over it...

Need some help with decision :D. I have two protein skimmer (BK400ext and H&S A-300) both rated for 1000g system. I can't run both at the same time because my corals will be starve. Which protein skimmer should i run consider both have the same performance.

I was thinking about running the A-300 during cold season because the 3 eheim will help adding a little bit of heat and the BK during hot season. What do you think :D.

Ive been doing some research on skimmers and i would go for the BK although i have never owned one. Maybe you could try one for a couple of months and then try the other for another couple of months and document how much they remove to determine which one is more sufficient.

Kar, both has the same performance just the A-300 draw more electricity and a little louder. Since my tank will be in the doghouse, noise isn't an issue. I have the BK for a little over a year and i love it.

Terry, i know you want me to join your BK club :D

If both have the same performance then IMO you should go with the BK - Less electricity and less noise even though it isnt an issue, still better to have a quiter skimmer :)
