It very well is though. I'm sure the cow that made your burger was packaged after a natural death. And you've probably never eaten a chicken but hey. Those are killed in a humane way, right? Simply because it has gills does not mean it should merit pardon. I would hope that a hunter of any kind will stalk what it hunts rather than just blast away and kill anything it moves. If I didn't stalk what I went after while hunting then I'm sure most things taken would be of illegal size, the wrong species, or have some other issue. Just because you dive doesn't mean that people who fish terrible. And the isue is not that hunting involves killing, it is te way you manipulate your words in previous statements. Were not talking about human beings here, Were are talking about a creature specifically designed to support the food chain, created fr consumption. But hey, thanks for

Consider for a moment why your panties are in such a wad over this. *I* didn't do anything to you. I wasn't even talking to you or about you when I expressed my hope that the fishermen would respect the life of the animals more.
For that, you first accused me of being a "veg head," then a vegan, and now an eater of cows and chicken. I have not confirmed or denied any of those accusations, yet you're still spouting off. Clay, I am not your problem.

I never said that people who fish are terrible. I said that they were killers... Which is true. It is what it is.
There is no manipulation. I am very straightforward about what I say, and have not said anything contradictory to my original statements.

You do realize that the Bible claims that God told us "not to kill." It specifically says, "Thou shalt not kill." It does NOT say, "Thou shalt not kill human beings, but killing anything else is okay." It simply says, "Thou shalt not kill."

Interestingly, none of those Commandments say "Thou shalt not eat meat," or "Thou shalt not wear fur," or "Thou shalt go onto internet forums and pick fights with SeaJay." But they do say "Thou shalt not kill."
My opinion of people who do kill isn't based on the Bible, though... I just don't feel that killing is the right thing to do. But then again, regardless of my opinion of people who kill, up until that last sentence I haven't said a word about my opinion... I only called them "killers," which is exactly what they are. I made no claims as to whether or not I agree with the act of killing or not.
Again, it is what it is, Clay. If you're all flustered about being called a killer, then stop killing.
I probably would have if they had indeed been valid. I didn't bother because the problem that you're having isn't with me - it's with yourself and what you're doing. I figured that I shouldn't make things worse on you by arguing with you.

1. Dying is a part of life. Killing is a choice. Killing and dying are not the same thing.
2. Yes, you are angry because of what you do - if you weren't, then it would not have bothered you to have it pointed out that these people were killing.
Perhaps you didn't speak clearly enough... I haven't seen you address any of my statements. As I read, you have only addressed that you are very offended that I called fishermen "killers." In fact, you didn't even really address that... We had to sorta come to that conclusion, based on what you said.
As if I'm interested, I'll go ahead and ask... "What 'ignorant statements' are you addressing?"

BTW there is nothing offensive about calling a fisherman a killer of fish. After all when I catch fish, be they finfish or shellfish, I kill them and eat them No shame in that if done in a responsible and sustainable manner Heck, I've killed and eating about 10 bushels worth of Bay Scallops in the last few weeks since the season opened

Just kidding, of course.
My wife is the best fisherman I know... Followed closely by my grandfather. My family goes back many generations as shrimpers.
I have a buddy that's considering naming his boat "Fishkiller." He's actually proud of the term, as it implies that he lands more fish than anyone else... Which isn't far from the truth.
...And I ate a steak with tgreene the other night. He shared with me his calamari while my wife gave me a sampling of her delicious clam chowder.
I don't have an issue with eating meat, Clay... Although after having experienced cancer, I admit to making it a lesser part of a more rounded diet. I am in love with the best fisherperson I know. That said, you won't catch me fishing or hunting or otherwise killing animals - I just don't feel it's the right thing to do.
I'd eat veggies for the rest of my life if I had to kill them myself... And probably be pretty happy doing it, actually.
Personal choices I guess.

In Genesis 9:3 it says - Every moving thing that lives shall be food for you. And as I gave you the green plants, I give you everything.
And in Leviticus 11:1-47 And the Lord spoke to Moses and Aaron, saying to them, "œSpeak to the people of Israel, saying, These are the living things that you may eat among all the animals that are on the earth. Whatever parts the hoof and is cloven-footed and chews the cud, among the animals, you may eat.
