Sickos. :)

Hey, speaking of Whale Sharks... You think we'll get into the big tank this time at the GA Aquarium?

We need to bring a knife and fork - and maybe even a... er... religious book... and take some photos, just for the inflammatory effect. :D Maybe we can tick off EVERYONE in one fell swoop. :)

I imagine taking a photo of you, riding the shark, with a knife in one hand, fork in the other... Kym can be in the background, reading the book as if to imply that it's wrong to eat the shark...

Just kidding, of course. :)

Tim, better be ready to put some diving hours in - we're going to be really busy. :)

...Just saw your Facebook page. What a gorgeous bike... Awesome stuff you've got there, my friend!

Still haven't heard from Clay... C'mon, Clay, lighten up and tell me you love me. :) Meet Tim and I (and kymsflower too) in Atlanta next week and we'll buy you a few beers. :)

I'm thinking that Christian and I should both bring our spearguns! :hmm2:

LOL!!!

I've seen triple-prongs, and I've seen power heads, but I've never seen a triple-prong power head...

...Just the looks on the faces of the public would be priceless...

Yeah, we might have to enroll in that PADI "Towing Your Enormous Catch Back To The Boat With Two Or Three Scooters Simultaneously Diver" specialty. :)

Oh! You changed it!

Cool new one, though... :)

Hey - Tim just pointed this out... You're not related to Jarrod Jablonski, are you?

Thow shall not murder. Is what it said in the orginal text and still dose in some bibles. It was changed in translation to thow shall not kill. Don't bring it up if you don't want to be corrected. If you had read the bible to get this info you would realize how ignorant it would be to think it was thow shall not kill sence God told the israelites to sacrifice animals which after cutting their throuts and spilling all their blood out i'm preaty sure counts as killing. It is what it is!

I'd love to argue it with you, but I thought Bill was pretty clear about it. It's not that "I don't want to be corrected" - it's that it's inappropriate for this forum. That's been said at least twice here, my friend, and bringing it up again is really skating on thin ice.

You're welcome to PM me or email me if you'd like - SeaJay@DeepSouthDivers.org - where we can argue about religion all day if you'd like. :) Just not here...

I guarantee the fishermen/hunters did not think twice about not fishing. Experiencing things like this offshore is part of the reason I do it. I've got in the water with dolphin, whales, basking sharks, sunfish, and turtles.

All those small fish with the Whale Shark look like Mahi.

I'm sure that serial killers don't think twice about chopping people up into little pieces, either. That still doesn't make it right.

...And while I understand that y'all feel that a HUMAN life is totally different from any other animal's life, I don't.

To me, killing is just wrong, and I avoid it if at all possible, regardless of the "level" of life that is involved. I feel bad when I run over a squirrel, would rather catch the bug and put it outside than squish it, and avoid shooting things or suffocating fish in the icebox... Regardless of where their place is on the food chain.

What I see in most fishermen and hunters isn't a "need" for food - what I see is a "desire" to kill something. Makes them feel macho. I mean, what other rationale is there in spending hundreds of thousands of dollars on a boat and tackle and fuel and countless hours of hard, nasty work to catch something that can be purchased at your local fish store for a few dollars a pound?

It's the "thrill of the chase." The thrill of killing something.

Personally, I don't find any pleasure in chasing something ("stalking") and killing it. I believe I've formed this opinion based on my interaction with the creatures as I dive underwater.

Similarly, dog-owners can't fathom eating dog for dinner. I just can't understand why anyone would ever love to fish, especially after spending so much time and effort (and money) to keep their own fish alive - as I assume the posters of this forum do.

As I said before, I hope that the person who enjoyed the interaction with the Whale Shark decided to stop killing fish. I hope the experience affected him that way.

...Now, how that hope would offend someone, I have no idea. :)

Pretty much!

He was a vegan that refused to ever wear any animal products (leather, fur, teeth, etc.)... He had a vinal wardrobe.

He was also very outspoken about the use of drugs & alcohol and claimed to have never touched either one, which made his autopsy report rather interesting read to say the least. ;)

THOU DOTH PROTESTETH TOO MUCH!!!123

PS: I'm on my way out to Lowe's right now, so if you need me to get anything else, call me ASAP!
