Is there any interest locally on going in on a PAR meter? I have found this invaluable for positioning lights and watching PAR loss over the lifespan of bulbs. This is also handy to make sure your ballasts are properly working!

Apogee seems to be the leader.

price is around $350, though i have seen group buys go as low as $220.

I like the novelty of having one around but I'm not sure I would personally want or need one. Are you recording your data Pasquale? That's always interesting to see the progression.

PCIalf's old thread was awesome. Ill see if I can dig it up later.

Thought this may be of some interest.Its obviously not comparing par of t-5/t-8 but just ambient temp and how par is affected.Between this and using and your infarred gun -what grim was using at one point but I haven't checked over their in a long time.you might find a way to increase par.
Looks like 95f is ideal.

It relates to active cooloing the bulbs not the water.I thought you might want to check it on your frag tank,seeing you have an infared thermometer gun and the borrowed par meter.

I would be in for the par meter but would like to see more in on it to justify the cost.
