Taylor's Tech 120 build

Added an Apex, added egg crate stands for my refugium and skimmer, and cleaned up all the wiring this weekend. Just bought some dosing pumps from BRS to be controlled by my Apex. Im going to try plumbing my chiller in this week.

Hit the 2 week mark of cycling the tank. I've been using Microbacter 7 and ghost feeding to help with the process. Ammonia and nitrates have been at 0 for a week. I decided to add my favorite fish to the tank first. He's been in quarantine for a month. He doesn't have the super vibrant juvenile colors anymore but he's super healthy and I picked him up for a good price.

Nice, what fish are you planning for this tank?

I ordered a flame hawk that should be in within a week. I've got a QT setup and ready to go. Besides that I have 2 wyoming white clownfish, a tailspot blenny, and a dragon face pipe fish I will be transferring from my current tank. I'll probably grab a few wrasses and a mandarin dragonet in about a year.

chevron deff one of my favorite tangs been wanting to get a juvi for my120 and sell him back when he gets bigger real tempting been fighting it for a year.

Do it man! Mine is probably going to have the nice colors for another year or so Im guessing. I actually still really like the patterns when they get older though so I'll keep him till he outgrows the tank.

Im going to stop updating my nano thread and post a few pictures of what I'll be adding to the tank in a month or so. Im going to throw about 15 lbs of live rock rubble that is filled with sponges into my new tank so hopefully my sps wont be to shocked.

Sounds great, may I recommend a orange back fairy wrasse, I've got one and he's a stunning fish.

Got the Apex all set up today. Everything was pretty straight forward other than getting my IP cam set up on it. It's so cool that you can see your tank live from any web browser. I wanted to make sure I got the camera working since I'll be going on vacation later this year.

I got some macro algae for the refugium. There are no detectable phosphates or nitrates right now so I'll have to hurry up and start adding more fish!

My quarantine tank is finally ready to go just in time. Ammonia and nitrates are at 0, and Im picking up a flame angel tomorrow from reef raft. I've heard angels are pretty sensitive to copper so Im going to treat him with prazipro.
