Dang Taylor looks nice man.. For some reason I missed all the updates on this thread and I Def missed out lol.

The setup looks amazing man great attention to detail and I forsee this thing being great in the future.. Your doing everything right by my book by not rushing into it keep up the great work. Look forward to swapping some acros with you down the line.

Nice build so far! I have the same tank just waiting on my metal stand. Had a couple questions on your plumbing. It's the one thing I hate doing when starting a new build.
What type of setup do you have the overflow, herbie, gurgle etc....which holes did you use for the two external and which did you use for the returns? The pipe third from the right, what is the purpose of that, I saw in the thread you split the return. Is the split going to two of the drilled holes or through one hole then tee'd off at the top of the overflow to make two? I'm assuming you used all 1" piping? Thanks!

Nice looks like it's pulling the gunk out nicely:). Hows the tang going?

He's in the sump till tomorrow. I added a flame angel and flame hawk and he was chasing the hawk around. I also got a nice baby chevron from a friend to replace him.

May I ask how you set the webcam up? Do you utilize apexfusion?

Nice looking tank!

You have to port forward the camera from the router. From there you basically add the IP of the camera to apex fusion. I can show you the code if you want it.

Thanks a lot Daniel. I'm trying to be as patient as possible but I really want to get my sticks in there. I'll probably buy a few cheap testers in a month or so to see what happens.

Can't wait till I have some acros big enough to frag and trade!

You'll have to link me to your build thread if you decided to make one.

I went with the beananimal overflow, there's a huge thread here somewhere. I used the 3 right holes for the overflow. The third pipe is the emergency drain for if the other 2 drains got plugged up somehow. I only used the hole for the return, its not split, just coming out the right side. I didn't want a ton of turnover through my sump. All of the pvc is 1".

How do you like the bean animal so far,any problems or noise coming from it? I was thinking either beananimal or the herbie. I don't want a lot of flow either in my sump, figure I'd make up for it with a couple jebao rw-15's. Is the flow to your liking in the sump.
Ill link you for sure to the thread when it gets up.

Loving it so far. It's dead silent. My only gripe was that it was a little tight on space but I managed to make it work.

I have the rw-15s and they are insanely powerful. I haven't ramped them up past the lowest setting and probably won't need too. They sell power supplies separately though that are lower voltage which bring down the power a bit.

Can you please PM me it? I am attempting to do the same thing and definitely need direction as to what I need to do in order to correctly set it up.

Thanks I appreciate it!

Starboard

Starboard

What's the starboard for? Are you planning on putting a substrate in or is the starboard the substrate? I've just getting my tank set up after a long absence and have never seen it before.

Love the tank. Make's me wish I had gotten a different design than the one I have.

Thanks.

I got the starboard to protect the glass from falling rock and to replace the look of sand. It doesn't look as nice as sand but I really dont like the look of bare glass on the bottom.

Thanks

This thread needs updating :D

You've got yourself a sweet tank there as well as some pretty cool equipment. Will be following for sure.

Sweet tank!! I got the same tank but a 90g. However it has been down over two years since I moved to a new house. I would like to rebuild again could you tell me where you got your plumbing pipes and if I could show a lil more of your plumbing. Thank you

Thanks Sahin, there hasn't been much to show in the last couple months since I had to quarantine my angel, tang, and hawkfish after an ich outbreak. Im almost done with hypo now and am in the process of raising the salinity. Should have them back in the tank soon.

Only post since you joined in 2012?! Let me know what you want to see, I can take pics of anything other than the drains behind the tank. :lolspin:

Transferred all of my corals in last night and got them glued down. I've been trying to hunt down a par meter to borrow but I placed the corals where I thought they'd do best. Looks like a have room for a few more acros! Sorry for the terrible photos, I'll get some decent ones with the real camera later.
