Territorial?

I have 2 ocellaris w/ nem in a 72 gal reef. they coexist fine with a yellow tang, the only other fish in the tank fo more than a year. They are very agressive, attacking me whenever I go into the tank, even if it's nowhere near the nem. I want to introduce a new fish, something w/ color like a dotty or wrasse, but i'm afraid.
should i get an agressive variety? Does size matter? Please advise.

stop bathing in the tank;)
sorry I couldn't resist

It could be the clowns think their is food in your hand. I had a clarkie once that would bite my hand but never ocellaris.

I think you would be fine introducing a dotty or a wrasse but remember wrasses can be jumpers

Here are two of my favorites , a sixline wrasse and a strawberry dottyback. Both would be excellant canidates for your tank.
Not to mention the algae blennie behind the sixline wrasse in the picture . Not real colorful but their personalities make up for it!

I have had 3 sixlines on different occasions, and two of them have been clown killers and very aggressive towards all other fish. This seems to be the avg. from what I've heard 2 out of 3 are generaly naughty fish...

wow, I never had that prob with my 3, although 2 did go carpet surfing.
which were the newer fish the clowns or the sixline ?
usually all my fish are agressive two a newbie fish the first 48 hours.

never had probs w/ sixlines, but dotty backs...
My favorite dotty(and least aggro IMO) is a springeri.
Most likely clowns will be cool to other fish, they just think you are intruder.
Gloves, or shiny watch/bracelet tend to help(they will bite shiny, not you)

IS MY SIX-LINE WRASSE GOING TO KILL MY CLOWNFISH?

I strongly doubt it will

I would be more worried about your smaller inverts and possibly the shrimp:eek2:
