I ended up returning the torch coral to a friend because it was beginning to get very close to some of my prize acros, and acans. It also took up so much real-estate in the tank, it was just too much.

However I chose to re-stock the small right side island with stuff from the ARC frag swap

-tiny setosa
-Purple Hooter zoos
-Pink lemonade acro

hopefully it will grow in as nicely as the larger branch to the left.

In the picture above, you can see it between the purple monster, the ORA pearlberry and the Setosa, way up high on the branch. It has grown about 1/2" since i got it from you.

Yeah sorry when the SPS grow in, the torch wont be missed. I'd rather shove it off into a friends tank... than into the corner of mine where it will look dooky.

Dont get me wrong i love sps i have over 40 different types of sps and will never.stop collecting them. But i will never.leave out lps esp torches hammers and forgspawns.got to have coal movment the tank can get so boring without lps. Sps only tanks are rather lame IMO.

I have two large islands in my dt lps on left and sps on right. The lps side looks amazing now that they have grown in and the sps side looks likr a dark forest. Even my fish prefer the left side 10 of the 12 fish most of the day are on the lps island.

Im just saying on torch esp a nice one like u had can rally compliment a display esp with how still and lifeless sps can been from a distance.


But not dissing ur.tank u have a very nice collection of sps thats for sure ur.tank will b sweet in time.

What size sump and skimmer u running any.pics? I dont rember seeing any pics in previous pages.

I am running a 10 gallon sump with filter sock, carbon, GFO and a skimmer. oh and a heater. thats it. very basic. about to setup my ATO today (thanks todd)

first off, i repositioned the Pink lemonade again. I didnt like that it looked like a complete tree. I decided i'm going to grow it like a table acro instead.

No fish. They are a whole different challenge. I'd rather grow coral for now

As for lighting, its a Tek light with ATI bulbs.

Yeah glad you got it day before. A bunch of them died Didn't take that kind of stuff into account. Glad swaps work the way they do, or else many refunds would have been given that day

How is the frag doing for you?

It'd doing good,It lost a tad bit of color being under different lights and water params..But the polyps are still really green ..I think it will do well (I hope lol)

thats what sucks about nano frags,way harder for them to adjust to different systems..But for that coral I see why it needs to be small frags,with its slow growth rate..and being a top money sps in all

Really nice tank by the way. You see plenty of tanks with amazing corals on the forums these days, but yours shows a level of thoughtfulness into the design and placement.
