Once again thanks for your kind comments. There is water in the tank and it is cycling. I have had a slight change in plans as I am going to go with the Ultralith system instead of a DSB. I have seen alot of good things come out of this and thought I would give it a try. That stuff should come in this week hopefully.
The tank was built by Sean @ www.spaquatics.com. He is a great guy to work with and does a super job on every tank he builds. In my opinion you won't find a better fabricator of acrylics.
Purchased the rock from www.bulkreefsupply.com and it is some sweet rock. It is the pukani.
My wife and I went on a 10 year anniversary trip to Sandals in Negril, Jamaica and had a great time this past week. I had the opportunity to go snorkling and saw some awesome stuff. Here is a pic of me in out and about in the ocean.
She has been up and cycling for a couple weeks now. Things are going pretty well and as a note of change I am going to go with the Fauna Marin Ultralith system. It should be coming tomorrow.
Here are some updated pics. Added some moulding to the sides to encase it a little more. Please disregard the ladder.
Great tank. Ordinarily im not a big fan of pentagon or heaxagon shaped tanks, particularly because of how the aquascape ends up looking but you did a great job with the stand and the rocks. Keep the pics coming!
Love the shape of the tank. The LED lighting is really looking nice over it and your rock structures look amazing! Will be following this thread for a while.
Been a while since any updates so I thought I would post some pictures of how things are looking. The pictures don't really do the lights justice so when you think it looks a little dark in some areas it really isn't that bad.
I have the following stocked right now.
Fish:
Vlamingi Tang
Sailfin Tang
Leopard Wrasse
Corals:
Yellow Scroll
Blue Tort
Inverts:
48 Margarita Snails
48 Scarlet Hermits
Blue Linkia Star
