The 325 Pentagon/ 700 gallon system

That looks really nice!

The pillars are agood scape for this deep, both in width & height, of a tank ... cool!

how do you plan to reach the bottom of the tank towards the back with the canopy on there.... you know that is where the fish are going to pick your coral up and put it.... LOL!

Awesome aquascaping. I like that you kept it fairly "open" so you will have room for corals.

If you have a way to easily remove your lights, you can get in there to access the back of your tank when you need to.

A good pair of tongs will be handy. You can also make a sweet scraper for the back glass with a length of PVC and a plastic windshield scraper jammed into the end of it. Multiple lengths to maximize leverage for scraping.

Thanks for your kind comments folks. This has been a labor of love to say the least. The lights are very easy to take out as they are modular. I am posting a pic of the fixtures themselves.

I purchased the black poly tank from a guy locally that had it on his system. I'll try to find out where he got it from.

Also I am already thinking about the contraption I am going to use to clean the acrylic. I have a pretty descent amount of room to work with.

Looks really cool. Very well thought out, and I really like the aquascape. One thought before it gets wet. Would it be possible to return the SM250 and bump up at an SM300? THe SM250 will be enough I think, but you always want more, and the price difference isnt that big. Also, not sure what you are planning to keep, but you'll definitely need more flow if you want to keep SPS. I'd suggest 4-5 vortechs.

Looking forward to seeing this one come along. Especially curious to see how the AI lighting works out for you. Oh, which brings up one more thought...have you thought about going with an RKE instead of a Profilux since they have a module designed specifically for the AI lights?

I am going to hang onto the SM250. From what I have read the Bubble Kings actually perform better when they have a descent demand on them.

As far as the flow goes in addition to the 2 x Vortechs my return pump from the sump will add an additional 1700 gph. The return also goes through an OM 4 way so although it doesn't add that much flow it does add some randomeness.

I haven't done much research on the RKE but with that being said the Profilux controls the AI fixture just fine. Everything is programmed through the your pc, i.e. lighting scenarios, clouds, rainy days, lighting storms but can also be adjusted via the Proflix unit itself. It is very versatile. I also have their 4 unit dosing pump which is also controlled via the Profilux. It is a pretty neat unit.

looking sweet....i was wondering whose tank that was when i saw it at the shop...and see you have a sp sump too very nice...i love mine....i am following this for sure. oh those lights are sweet and are you going to have sand in the display later or BB?

wow it almost looks like an in wall tank! awesome tagging along

Yeah, what this genius guy said :D

I think water is going in this afternoon. I am a little nervous because of the amount of plumbing I have and that it goes through my crawl space. I am going to get a shot of the garage/fish room here this weekend.
Going with a sand bottom, only 1-2" though in the display tank though.

Dimensions are as follows. Each back planel is 5" long. The height is 30.5", and the front viewing panel is 5' 7 7/8" which is met by two 12" side panels. From the front to back corner is 4' 2 15/16".

I'm really impressed with what you have going on here!! I have a place in my house that would be perfect for a modified corner tank. How was the company that you got yours from to work w/?

Great work! post some more pics when you get a chance.
