The amazing Apple berry monti Palawenensis!

Plancton where in mexico are you located. I've always wanted to check stuff out when i'm down there. I am usually around Guanajuato and Querataro.

But back to the monti. Every time I'm in Mings shop his piece seems to be high up in his display tank and it always seem to be holding its color well.

yeah, the Atlantis piece loves high light!

Well, then is it ok if I don't light acclimate?

I am located in Guadalajara, Mexico city and Guadalajara probably have the largest hobby related stuff, but the variety of choices on corals and fish is very limited compared to the USA, the fact that I found this monti is a matter of luck, I don't really know if the guy has it on stock or is planning to import it in which case the importation might fail.

One thing you can find in Mexico is Live rock from the atlantic ocean, which has an amazing coloration. Or live rock from the mexican pacific, which has really cool shapes as well.

Id like to have a frag of that to see what the natural sun would do to it?

What do you mean redox?, you use natural sunlight on your tank or what?

The one I've had for years under some conditions develops blue polyps. I wonder if the super low nutrient tanks that people are moving too would nudge it in that direction.
