went to order the nac6 from nuocean and now they are out of stock.....crap!....i know there are several others that sell it but for more $
Been running it for about 26 hours now in a 30 gallon Rubbermaid filled to 10". It's definitely putting out some bubbles and foam. I'm still playing with the flow to get it skimming nice and dry, but I'm liking the power so far.
I took the lid off and forgot to put it back on before I left for a couple hours. This is what I found when I got back:

Tusca, that is cool. Where do you have your water level in the skimmer set? Looks to be below the NAC sticker. Have you had a skimmer on that tank before?
why would you use soap to clean your skimmer? plain hot water is fine. i would have to say the crazing is from one of the two. i have had mines for over a year, and albiet some wear and tear on the acrylic is starting to show, no crazing
The instructions that came with mine stated that the bedding in phase be greatly reduced if the skimmer was cleaned with hot water and soap. This was true - it skimmed within an hour of being put in the tank. I just figured I would give it a good clean again and start over. Glad I did as I have now highlighted this 'potential' flaw in BM collection cups if using ozone.
I would say hot soapy water is less threat than O3 and going on some of the posts on UR at the moment, it seems that extruded acrylic (basically heated, stretched and formed and cooled quickly) is suseptable to this. It could well be something BM need to address as many reefers use ozone. How many BM owners use ozone - I am trying to find out....certainly in the UK. the feedback so far hasn't really been from BM users who dose O3 but if I get anything significant, I will post up on here to keep you guys informed.

Lee
I've been keeping up with all the BM discussion that's out there and admittedly I haven't read about a lot of people using ozone with theirs. After all, it doesn't explicitly have an input for hooking something like that up. That doesn't mean you shouldn't be able to.
Knowing how many people do this with their skimmers, if the manufacturer knows how ozone would affect their acrylic then they have an obligation to tell you not to use it.
