I use the large strainer with more surface area to reduce the pull, otherwise something small make get stuck, well or at least that is my plan, and I hope it helps.

Good observation, and the reason it looks like that is probably because i wasn't wearing pants :mixed:, j/k lol i was wearing light colored basketball shorts, but it really does look like it doesn't it? :eek1:
 
whats the height of your canopy? just wondering whats the distance between your lights and the water surface.

BTW...really nice set up.
 
Well now that I got my pants back on here are some pictures of the tank being filled up with RO/DI and I.O, it's been filling since Friday night, it should be done by tomorrow, and I took a picture of the RO unit which is a Typhoon III and the sump pictures you requested. I did some modifications to the gate valve mod with a nylon screw to hang the sock on it. thank you for all the compliments guys and I promise to wear pants on from now on, it'll be hard though I like the breeze :D

Well I got it filled up, and put my rocks in it's still a little cloudy but I couldn't wait to take the pictures :D

OMG you mean you weren't kidding? LOL I know, coincidentally I was cleaning out my closet and had taken out my gear. I promise I wont dive in the tank :(
