clugo, my apologies I think my post was confusing. I quoted it to make it easy for folks (myself included) to see your pics. Tapatalk photos are hard to see otherwise.
I agree that the 24" skimmers will have a lower bubble volume than the taller skimmers, but even so that seems like not quite what it should be. It's almost like the flow from the pump to the skimmer is restricted somehow, or there is a clog in the Venturi.
Maybe shoot that pic to Jeff, see what he says?
sorry. meant filter socks
Oh, i rarely use socks.
Here's a pic of my 30" running the mag 12 and there is definitely no dead space in bubbles, but when I was having my problem it was as bad as yours.

Bring up the water level till the wet bubbles start slowly pouring into the cup. Dial it back down a touch at a time until it stops pouring over.Where would u suggest I keep my water level inside the skimmer body?
What up with not reading the posts? What up with being scared to address air draw ?
What up with not reading the posts?
Low Air draw was due to a clog he had. Of course a mag12 in a 30" skimmer will have a larger mass of air bubbles compared to a mag9 in a 24" skimmer...
And. What is the actual air draw... The air determines the actual size of the skimmer. Why the reluctance in measuring and reporting actual air draw? .....
http://archive.reefcentral.com/forums/showpost.php?p=8983187&postcount=22. How about an air flow meter .... So who has actually compared equal sized pinwheels(VS THEIR CLEARLY OVERSIZED PREVIOUS CHOICES)to their life reef?
Sorry, don't have an air flow meter.
