The most AMAZING buy today...a 1.5" Conspicillatus Angel!!!

I found a conspic to be the most pet like fish. It will eat out of your hands

Well that's good to hear.

Right now it's being very shy. She stays very close to the caves and crevasses, but I guess all baby fish exhibit that behavior. I haven't really seen her eat yet because she hangs around dark places and her mouth area is so dark, it's hard to see if she opens it or not. Her swimming behavior looks like she's going after the food though. She also still looks very active and healthy, so that's good.

According to Eric @ Sdc its the smallest ever caught
He was going to shipped to Japan because of the hefty price no one will buy it here but we convinced him to keep it in the US for a significant discount. :) I mean significant discount.

Wayne so the small interruptus is not worthy of the thread ! Lol

I think this one was smaller at 15mm

Either way it sure is a beautiful fish and congrats to the new owner.

thank you was looking for this...
amazing to see the color differences...

No probs, in the past 2 years or so we have had 2 specimen under 4cm available, I missed out on the first one then the second one tripled in price and was too steep for me.

Well, it's been about a week now and my Conspic is still doing well. It's much less shy now, but isn't as outgoing as I would like yet. It's still not much of an eater either. Strangely, I see it grazing on algae and cyano more than it eats frozen food. You can actually see it grazing on this video too. But I'm not too worried though - I think I read somewhere that baby angels do graze on algae. At least it's eating regularly.

You can also see my third Interrupta swimming in and out of the frame too. It's doing very well and eating like a champ. I'm just trying to decide how I'm going to introduce these two to my main DT. Both at once or just the Interrupta for now...

More updates to follow. Thanks for looking.

congrats, she looks amazing!
totally normal for her to be eating that...
so looking forward to watching her grow...
