This is a male blue throat, right?

I got this fish maybe 6 months ago probably under 3". It had yellow and lost it all. There's no way it turned female, is there? I was attracted to the light grayish fish with strong yellow. If it turned female, Id simply buy another male. It still has a blue throat though.

They often become very drab in the home aquarium and virtually everyone complains about them losing the yellow markings... Welcome to having a male blue throat

I soak my mysis in vitamin c and a dash of garlic. He eats everything. I'm not buying food helping this. I wanted one to look like this

If I knew that would work I would try it. But to add another dull colored fish would be a bummer if it didn't.

My male looks pretty good. Maybe feed him more. I feed my tank heavy 4 to 5 times a day. Live black worms mysis pellets krill etc.

Also I have a Harlequin shrimp, skunk, peppermints, fire, and 2 yellow/blue coral bandit shrimp, no problems with well fed fish.

I just snapped this pic tonight and had to share. The first one I snapped when I took out the camera. Usually takes a while to get a good one. :)
