Tips and Tricks on Creating Amazing Aquascapes

hi guys,

what do you guys think of my aquascape? critiques welcome.

So I played around with the left island part and came up with this,

To much? The tank is 6" higher than the board behind. Look better more natural or go back to the original?

I think on the original I would try and make the centre pillar an s shape starting from from the right pillar and then coming down the middle and then turning to the left pillar type thing. And make either the right or left pillar vertical closest to the front of the tank.

How do you have that ledge suspended?

I've been looking to do something similar, (Floating ledge) but a reliable method of securing it has kept me from doing so....

Like this? It's about 1/2 the width of my 75 gal tank.

Sort of, but I was looking for something that was not as wide. I've already got rock taking up the "floor" of my 120....was looking for a short floating ledge or shelf to add for additional coral space.

I have mixed feelings on this. It is pretty damn creative. But imho maybe a bit over the top. It doesn't look "possible" to be natural. The bonsai is right on the edge of cool as hell but still believable as a natural formation. This one almost makes me nervous. Wanting to watch until it falls over lol

This is one of my very favorites as well, and it was driving me nuts to remember who's this is, thanks to FB friends, this belongs to Christopher Kriens.

I'm sure that island on right must be on a rod and platform for stability.

I make these acrylic pillar stands w/ a flat acrylic base panel, we have quakes here so we need support for anything tall.
I'm sure it's probably something similar, I see PVC versions as well.
