Too many triggers!

Just wanted to share what an LFS is doing in my city. He has an 80 gallon high tank. No skimmer. Tidepool 2 sump for filtration. 9 watt UV. 100 lbs live rock.

Stock list:
1. Rectangle trigger
2. Picasso trigger
3. Niger trigger
4. Clown trigger
5. Black durgeon trigger
6. Blueline trigger
7. Queen trigger
8. Freckled hawkfish

....and he wants to add a Pineapple trigger....and get this, a TITAN!!!! Ive tried telling this guy he's nuts. And I asked him how long he thinks they'll all get along. He doesnt knwo, and really doesnt care, he just likes triggers. Then a customer walks in. He wants to buy another Blueline trigger that the LFS has. I asked him what size tank he was going in......get this....55 gallon. Wait it gets better.....the guy has 8 TRIGGERS IN A 55 GALLON TANK!!! So I asked him whats in the tank:

1. Rectangle trigger
2. Bursa trigger
3. Niger trigger
4. Black durgeon trigger
5. Clown trigger
6. Picasso
7. Gray trigger?
8. UNDULATED TRIGGER!!

and he wants a Titan too!!

Anyone else think these guys are nuts? Or just me?!

I wouldn't even refer to that store as a LFS any longer. however i do have a juvi blue line( 2 1/2 INCHES) in a 46 bow right now by himself. He's going in an 110 tall. in about a month or so. how big are the triggers ?

Well, the worst they can do is eat each other. I've seen worse crimes in the world.

It will look neat for a little while though....the only way your could do that is if you added them all at once. I'm curious to hear how this plays out.

THe ones in the 80 are already starting to pick on eachother.. Beleive it or not, the rectangle trigger is bullying the queen and clown. Who knows what will happen with a Titan!

I would still put money on the queen or the clown to be the last man standing ( OK swimming).

I would vote titan, but they are shy at first, then comes the rage. If they are all the same size? I don't think the clown stands a chance, and I've never owned a queen so can't say, but the grey and the queen are basically the same.

If all roughly the same size the Undulated dominates. All at adult sizes I'd vote Titan, these fish eat rocks!!!

This is in the 80, no undy in there....that is in the 55. I thought that too, but then saw that there wasn't on in the 80...

If it were in my city I would stop buying anything from that store, and would let them know why. Practices like that only encourage newbie reefers that something like that is acceptable ("because the LFS does it") and ends up with the death of a lot of fish.

^^ agree with Dave. Serioulsy tell the guy whats on your mind. Tell him how you feel, and do it in front of some customers (that aren't regulars) Tell him to do what hes doing he needs a 400+ gallon tank for any chance they stay alive and healthy... Im glad i dont have a LFS like that around me...
