Hello all. I have a 155 bow, with a yellow tang, spiney box puffer, Koran angel, miniatus grouper, marble cat shark, and rainbow wrasse.

They all eat, however when they are not eating, they are pretty hidden and dormant. I thought yellow tangs were open constant water swimmers, but if he isn't eating, hes in a cave. My rainbow wrasse lays around a lot, only to get up and swim around rock every now and again./

My question is, if there eating, is it safe to assume there healthy. You always see tanks at lfs or displays at restaurants where fish are in constant motion, mine are not.

Also, are there any fish that are compatible with mine that may provide some excitement or movement? Another tang perhaps?

lol a 3 inch puffer, 3 inch Koran, 4 inch grouper, 3 inch yellow tang, and a 6 inch marble cat shark is too much for a 6 foot tank? then will have to say the last 20 tanks I have seen online and in person are all WAY over stocked more than mine is

Mmmmm this looks really familiar to another thread on here.

Basically all the fish are probably unhappy stuck in a tank that's too small for them.

It's really easy, you go to www.liveaquaria.com, search the fish your thinking about buying and then look at minimum tank size for that fish.

Give or take 10%15% so the trigger, yellow tang, wrasse, and either the puffer/grouper Can stay.

The shark has no business being in a 150, and the Koran also. If the puffer and grouper are small for now they could stay but eventually one will have to go just because of size.

I would not put the puffer, angel, grouper, or cat shark in that size tank.
Maybe they are all scared? How did you pick your stocking list of fish?

I would recommend rehousing most of your fish and doing your research to put together a list of fish - liveaquaria is a great site to check out MANY fish, with recommended tank sizes, compatibility recommendations, etc. Then come back here and post your options you have narrowed down.

Steve under "Check Your Intended Fish Purchases Here" in the newbie forum is also great for feedback once you have a list of potential fish (do not ask him for recommendations, just present the fish you have selected).

+1^ Everyone will say the same thing to you about your fish. I'm assuming you are new to the hobby or just aren't thinking long term since months and years is how things are measured in this hobby. I understand the fish are 3-4" right now but won't be in a few short months. As for the shark that's just bad all around, 1000g tank is bare minimum with a shark I don't care what LA has to say about it. To your question where is the tank at? Livingroom? Basement? How many hrs are the lights on? Are you around the tank all the time? How long has it been setup? My fish will follow me when I walk by the tank

im pretty sure that is the same person just a different user id.

the shark should not be housed with the angel or puffer. the rest of the fish will all outgrow the tank eventually with the exception of the yellow tang.

Thanks for closing previous thread for no apparent reason. I have listened to ALL advice given to me, and I will recap it:

1. Stock reduction: Sohal tang, clown tang, and Picasso trigger have been removed and returned. My stocking level is now a Koran angel, spiney box puffer, and yellow tang. 3 fish in 155, im sure some will still say that is overstocked.

2. I purchased a 40 gallon tank for quarantining which I will use for my next fish. Check mark, another piece of advice listened to.

3. Carbon source added in sump, another check.

4. Will not add anything else for at least another month. Check

Thanks again for closing, and thanks for assuming I didn't listen to advice.
