Top down pics of my sps

Thanks everyone. Its taken me a while to get where iam at now, I still need to work on gettind rid of the some algea but over all iam happy.

Sweeeeeet pics, gotta love the top down looks. That A. navini is just gorgeous, is it the LE navini. I have a piece of the LE navini and it is finally starting to grow after setting down a base and the color is just like that one. I love it. You sunset looks awesome as well. Great health and great colors, what is your secret formula????

I think the Navini is the LE. I got it from Hugo (snipersps) and as you know all of his stuff was LE, mine seems to grow realy fast for some reason. Actualy the sunset was almost a goner, if you notice there are two pieces but its actualy one piece the middle was burnt when it fell on another acro and I was able to rescue it.

Very nice stuff, mchava!!! Isn't the pokerstar all blue with green polyps? I think yours is a rainbow monti. Either way, awesome piece.

Actualy mine started at a deep blue green polyps but as most people who have it they will tell you as it begins to grow it turns to a red polyp blue base then green polyps and blue base.

Yeah I know I just did want to post some bad picts, but hey iam still working on getting it to look just like yours.

Man... that's some great stuff First one looks like a formosa btw. Hey, I've got the perfect spot for that hoeki frag... lmk

Actualy its realy diffrent then the formosa I have its has thiner branches and also grows almost like a table.

Do you have an idea for the Acro with blue tips? The one right under the true green and pink color in the same pic. I have the same acro, but am unsure of the ID.

Not sure but is grows like a stag thinking albrohensi (sp). Its yellow with blue tips.

Incredible colors man
Especially love that Nana and the Blue Mille with the red inner tissue...
How ofter you change your bulbs?

Not sure I think the last one was changed back in Dec, but I have been playing around with what lighting I like the most. I went from 2x250 14K phoenix but when Electricity went up in cost, I down graded to just running 1 250 10k BLV. What I noticed when I ran 2 bulbs was that most of my colors where not there and some where realy light other would brown out. Kind of weird, now that I am running just one bulb things have started to come back with good results. I think alot has to do with my husbandry of the tank. I do water changes every week with TM salt mixed at 1.023 and ballance my ca at 410 and alk at 8. Ever since I did this about 1.5 months ago things have gotten better. Far as dosing stuff in my tank. I use stronium about 2tsp/week, .5ml of CV/week,2ml of TM K+ 3x/week.

Thanks clkwrk. As far as the bugs go well they just came in a month or so back from a piece that I did not qt from the lfs becuase of medical reasons. But I should have them taken care of here soon.

easttn thank you verry much. I know you had an awsome tank right before you incidents with the pump or someting like that.

great looking tank man. Everytime I try SPS, they turn completely white. How do you convince them to keep their colours?

Beautiful tank Mario!:) You have a very nice acro and monti collection in there.

As for the dictyota, you can take all of the rock out and scrub it and it will come back... you can starve the tank and it will continue to grow... you can epoxy over it and it will grow right out from underneath the epoxy.... I've battled it before and know how much of a nuisance it can be. I found that naso tangs eat it like candy. I've recommended nasos to others with dictyota problems and everyone has had the same results. A naso will get big for your tank but you could add a small one and make plans to donate it to a public aquarium when it gets too large.

Fantastic pics!
I'd keep red bugs as pets if they would make my corals look like that!

Hey guys thanks, the dactoyda has been an issue for about 10-11 months now. I set this tank up with new rock with notting on it and it was still able to sneak in. Oh well I guess that will have to be part of my job to clean it everytime I do water changes. But other then that this are doing realy great. Now I just want the acros to explode in growth then I will be happy. I will post some more pictures in a few days I will see if I can borrow a DSLR from my friend and take some macros shoots.
