Tunze 6060 on a wavemaker?

I have a reefkeeper controller, which has wavemaking abilities.

Would I be able to run a pair of Tunze 6060's for wavemaking? I was thinking on/off at 10-20 second intervals.

Will it damage the Tunze's?

background: 5 year old 55 gallon tank, 90% sps, 4 SEIO 620's quietOne 3000 for return. 30 gallon sump with ASM G3.

You will void the warranty putting those on a wavemaker. I think I've seen Roger specify that those can only be switched on/off only once per hour or it will damage the driver.

poppin-fresh is right. The unidirectional rotation requires a clutch that is worn out by start and stop use. The 6000 can be pulsed this fast because electronics replace the clutch to make the prop spin the right way.
