Tunze DOC Skimmers

The 9010 is 16.8"H, where does the waterline start at? The area I am planning on putting the skimmer is 20 inches high and the skimmer cup must be removable in a 5 inch tall area. Is this enough?

When will the next shipment of Tunze skimmers be coming in? I've been waiting for mine for a few weeks now and was wondering if you (Roger) knew when they were coming

We got some 9010's last week but not quite enough to fill all orders. I am not sure when more will arrive but it shouldn't be too much longer.

asmujica- it would be a tight fit, if you emptied the cup regularly it could work- the problem is you would need to angle the cup slightly and if it was too full it would spill.

I am currently in the planning stages for the stand so I am trying to design something that fits with my other furniture, so it must be a certain height and fit in a certain space. Right now I have 7 inches of area where I can remove the skimmer but the total available height is 20 inches. I think I can still drop it 2.5 inches into the fake bottom to accomodate the skimmer if necessary.

I'm seriously considering selling my Deltec AP600 and picking up a 9010 I know, GASP, sell the Deltec?? But I could use the money from the difference between selling the Deltec and buying a 9010, plus I'm getting a little tired of an external skimmer. My Deltec has flooded my stand three times, and unfortunately won't fit in my sump, but the 9010 will. Anyway, the waterlevel in my sump is 13", but I see the max water level is 11" Could I just set the skimmer on something, or hang on the rim of the sump like I would if it was an in-tank skimmer? (sump is a standard 20g glass tank, with baffles).

Thanks Roger, what would be enough space to remove it without tipping it?

Thanks Roger!!

What did you think of the 3d Sketchup Tunze 9010?

Its made with the dimensions on the website so some components may be a bit off, but its usefull since the general dimensions are correct.

So no one has the 9010 skimmers in stock right now?
i got 1 for sale soon if ur interested...

need something more aggressive for my 200gal system.

This skimmer is small, silent, simple, and sweet, but i dont think it can be agressive enough to handle too high of a bioload.
