tunze wavebox in action

Roger with the cost of the wave box going higher than you first said and having to used two holders and the new control. One would need to take out a loan the size of one used to buy a car with.Roger you need to get your cost in line. You will sell the wave box when you get your first ones but after that it will go down hill do to the cost of the box.Preorders do not make firm orders.

The price has not changed at all from initial quotes, it is published at www.tunze.com on the Interzoo 2004 flyer. Sorry but that is the price and it is fair in my opinion. These are one time purchases for a small niche of hobbyists and we have two years of R and D and several molds to pay for. The magnet holders are an option, holders are included that will work on most aquariums except those with parameter braces. In being fair, if you can afford the corals, the tank and the lighting this is certainly an affordable item.

Champion Lighting was selling them (pre-order) at MACNA for something around that price. It was probably $574.16 or something similar in nature. I didn't pay attention to the price because I was surprised to see what looked like a Stream pump in the base of the unit.

that sight says 466$ do you have to have the extention to use it ,, or just the one piece.

Marc, your right from what I have seen( and understand about the mechanics of this) its a stream type pump in he bottom that does a push pull motion .. I wonder how long that pump will last ? We should get the guys at SW paradise to test one on the long systems their,,LOL

Hey,, Id rather here high at first then have it come down as apposed to low then get slapped the other way with an additional 150$ ,,, I think its very reasonable piece of equipment for 475$ish,, think about what people spend in trying to simulate in their tanks.. all achieved with one device and a return pump.. The overflow issue still gets me on this though.. My 40 breeder isnt drilled...

It will definitely hold up, the original working model is still in use for over a year now and we changed alot of equipment on the pumps to make this reliable and it is very reliable. It is actually just push/off. The pump is pulsed in fraction of a second intervals ranging from .35sec to 1.2 seconds. $466 is the correct price, I might have aimed high before the final price was known in May.

good deal roger :) i figured as much about the push/off.. Man those pumps have some serious velo to move the water like that,,LOL

Roger do you have a pic of a wave box in 180 gal reef tank. All glass tank 72 in long 24 in wide and 24 in high.Thousands have been sold for used as reef tanks in the US.

I have tested it in my home 180 which is a plant tank so I know what it will do (uproot all your plants  ) The wave is about 3/4" high. When I get it back from the MACNA show I will post some pics. We don't have AGA here so it will be Oceanic.

This looks incredible. I believe this will make many species much happier.

Who else besides c.l.? I had a really bad experience with them. Are they the only ones who are preordering?

Roger,
Can you tell me if the Wave Box comes with the Controller 6091 or is it an additional item? I've done some searching and can't seem to find a 6091 controller for sale. I see a 7091 but not a 6091 on most sites.
Thanks
Troy
