Misled

This was a little bit of a tough subject for someone that posts snakes eating rabbits, or hawks eating pigeons, or bugs. I was gonna head down to a junkyard and put an ax through a windsheild, then shoot it from the inside, but it's been a long week at work. So I just did this.

Jesse: yuck! lol

I shot this today...... Totally unexpected when these flew overhead. What's crazy is I'm shooting with a Df and the 105 2.5 AIS, which is a manual focus lens!

Leave me alone.

Leave me alone.

This was an unexpected, or maybe not, reaction when I moved this tree frog from the house to the plant for the shot. Did not realize he felt this way until I uploaded the pictures.

so is there a strict rule about uploading only freshly taken shots? can i enter old ones?

That was the rules, and that's how I'm playing it. Though no one would really know if there's no EXIF data, or if you hadn't brought it up!!!

ok :) i have lots of photos, but haven't done much shooting this season...too busy

an odd site while walking in a northern town in Chile

I unexpectedly sliced my finger open tonight on some bamboo and didn't even feel it til I went to scratch "an itch" and learned a hard lesson. I considered it for a short second and figured you guys didn't want a macro of a gaping paper-cut-like gash, so here is the unexpected, kinda cute, shot of my tail-spot when I was playing with setting on the new cam. Popped its head out to say hi and ask what I was doing with that stupid black box again.

It's not winning this thread but it was a neat surprise. This one was tough.

trimming some trees on friday and this little feller popped out of a hole.

I dunno, I am really a fan of the action shot with mallards in flight. Slightly grainy, but it captures me in a way that makes me feel 'there'.

What's unexpected to me is that xtm was able to get a focused shot of birds in flight manually!! :lmao:

I have to say, JaYbIrD1969's shot of the cat and mouse is the one that made my pupils dilate the most ;) Congrats. You get to pick the next topic.

I assume by misleds photo and also the cat and mouse that using photoshop or similar program is allowed? Just want to know for the future.

The only use of photoshop in my photo was to soften the contrast a bit. This scene plays out all day, every day with this cat. He catches so many "things" I could capture moments like this several times each day if I was motivated. ;)

Wheeeeee!!!!!

I will pick the subject, but I will have to defer the judging to someone else as I will be in the wilderness without internet next Sun-Wed. I'll defer the judging to our MC, Jesse. If you don't mind? I know that puts you in a pickle with your own submission.
Let me know if you have a better idea.

My subject for this weeks assignment is "MUSIC" :)

Yes, you can use anything you want, we had a HDR last week.

Jay, I'll take over for you. I'm still having fun. Music huh???

congrats to the winner!

I already have a good idea what i'll post for the music category...bring it on :)
