Very unhappy with the nano-stream 6025's

4 6025's

4 6025's

I just ordered 4 6025s form reef exotics, I hope there are no problem's, but even if there are problems customer service seems top notch, can't wait to receive them!!

I just picked up a 6045 NewYear's eve, works great, no noise, nice footprint, really good flow, love it., oh yeah, love the magnets!

Well my 6025 was waiting for me when I got home yesterday. Installation was a snap (Man those magnets are strong).
Unfortunatly, despite knowing that the tabs were a weak point, and the extra care I took b/c of this, one of the tabs managed to snap off. The thing still holds GREAT with only 3 of the 4 though, so unless another snaps some how, I'm not going to bother trying to get a new one. As for performance, it is GREAT!! Plenty of flow, nice and dispersed, and take up very little room compared to the Maxi-Mod I have.

Oh.. and my 6025 is DEAD silent! Great product... As soon as the 45's are out, I'm gonna grab one. I'll probably use the 6045 as my main PH, and put the 25 on a timer (15min minimum) pointed directly at the 6045 to get some VERY randon currents.

Oh, speaking of which, that is one thing I was VERY happy about.
When I set up my 25 across from the Maxi-mod and watch my Xenia they are fairly calm for about 15 seconds, and then get buffeted for about 5-8 seconds. IMO that is exactly how the natural currents are. Calm between the waves, and then a surge when the wave hits.
:D

It should run for 15minutes, it can be turned off for as little as 30 sec but the run time should be at least 15minutes when on.

Cool.. thanks. I assume this allows it to fully warm up or something?

It is just to minimize off and on cycles and the chatter on start up which is hard on the pump. Basically, our tests show that with a start every 15 minutes the pump should last at least 3 years. The fewer starts the longer the life.

Ive had my two 6025's running since early Nov. The first hour
they were on I noticed some sound but they quickly quietened
down and have been running silently and flawlessly since. I've
got them running 24/7. I may get a 6045 and replace the last
two powerheads in my tank.

Can the "outside" magnet be submerged? I have a 6055 with a controller on order and was planning on attaching the nanostream to the front of my internal glass overflow box with the "outside" magnet inside the overflow box under water.

I'm running two 6025's on my 40 breeder mixed reef and I love them. Very quiet! Can't wait for the 6055's to come out.

6025

6025

I had 2 for over a month now with no problems
they work great

I dealt with roger in the past and he has always been more then fair
and always a complete gentlemen

there is no reason to complain without first giving roger a chance to correct the problem
he always does and that is why I buy tunze products
because roger is always there to help out…

give the guy a chance he is very trust worthy

my 3 cents'

sod

I posted an update on new products, it is a stickied thread at the top of the forum. Unfortunately we will not see the 6055 until March. The only good news is this date should be final, it accounts for just about every possible hang up.

i have two 6025s and they are awsome pumps all the naysayers are just wrong im sorry but they are amazing you are all wrong
i also cant wait for my 6055 and i dont care how long it will take there is no pump that competes with these
