Wanna be Mini ocean....

Very sorry to hear that. Just came across/read your build. Really like the layout and look of your tank. I'm currently running a sumpless 40 breeder but I really want a big tank! I do enjoy my 40B a lot especially now that I have my Potters which is what I have always wanted. Would love to have some swim room though and be able to consider at least one tang! I have yet to try and keep a wrasse but looking into some now. Keep up the good work! I hope you find a nice fish to replace the lost.

thanks. Potters are nice looking fish. I had my 46g for 8 yrs almost. I saw a good deal on a set up in my reef club and i could not pass it up for the price. Plus i'm out of College for the past 2 yrs to help fund my tank..lol... I'm loving this tank so much. The thing to do and buy for it is endless...

hey thanks....its a scar...lol... I just cant been my leg back all the way yet. I have not put a coral wish list yet. So far i know its going to be 90% sps and 10% LPS. Also might try a table sps when i feel ready for it. You have any input for the coral list? Inputs are welcome.

just checking out the daily life on the reef. I see the cleaner shrimp and the Squareback Anthia are good friends. Finally the cleaner shimper has someone that likes him for what he does.

Bought two sleepers this weekend to help keep the sand looking good. Still waiting for a Tomini tang to come in. I did see some small chevron tang for $75 at the LFS. Should i get one and blow off the tomini?

Just want to say I like your tank. Also was wondering how long your tank has been set up? It seems as though your adding things way to fast and your bio load is too much for your system at this point. This may or may not be why you lost your wrasse. Just be patient your tank will look awesome in time.

thanks reef. I think its more luck. My old system was almost 3 yrs old as a reef and had few fish. i tired 5 times with wrasses. Only one lived but die soon after i moved back in july.

ok i had a squareback(smallest one) die last week. I got another one that was smaller than the two others and found it dead today and the LFS got the same results. Tested my water to see if anything is going on. All zero and SG is 1.025 just PH keeps staying around 7.9. Never can get it above 8 and i do test at the same time every day. Do use kalk in the top off. Just found the new small one dead. Thinking that the other two are the bullies since one the small ones have died. Any suggestions? Plus how get my pH back up?

:spin2:.. I was following a thread on LED lights and did not want to pay over $100 for a ok setup. This whole setup cost only $37 for my 125g. The blue leds are 3w which is enough to make the colors just POP!:hmm4: Here are some pics. My camara is not the best to really show the colors popping.

few days i took a pH reading (2:15am) before i had to go to some early morning work. pH came out to 8.3. Test was done 45 minutes before the HQ turns off.

Did add a few more goodies to my tank. I'll post some pics a little later tonight.

taking any suggestions on what kinda of SPS? Looking for corals to grow on my pilars. Any comments or ideas are welcome. :)

would one vortech mp40 on lagoon mode work for my tank? Just looking for a surge with random and a slight wave in my tank.
