Wave2k's are here!

I've been waiting to see one of these things in action for months. The design is a bit different than I thought...I assumed it would be a wide open slot, rather than partially covered with four outlets.

Sedgro, would it be possible to see the upper half of these? I would also love to see a full tank pic. It's awesome to see your anthias and chromis sitting in the current from the wave2k's--just how they would feed in the wild!

I am not sure what the problem is... I am re-uploading it to the server. When I open it in Quicktime from there server it says there is an error in the file. Anyone have any suggestions other than re-uploading it?

Try again:

wave2k movie

Movie is definately interesting. I just don't know if those devices are worth $240. Too bad they can't have a loaner model they can send out to people to use for a week. :)

Sedgro,
That is awesome!!!!!! I have never seen a real reef tank in motion. That wave2k looks like it works really good. It makes waves just like a real sea. Good for you!!! Your tank is beatiful i might add. What type of anemone is that skunk clown in? NEED MORE FOOTAGE!!!! FEED ME FOOTAGE NOW!!!!!

I must be loosing it! It seems to download but nothing plays, just a blank web page. Any help aprecieated.

Did you try saving it to your desktop instead of playing it straight from his link? Also remember you need Quicktime to view it. Thats all i can say.

I'm still not able to Download the video. FTP site says anonymous logins are not allowed.

Any help?

Are you using an FTP program or something? If so, don't. Just right click on the second link he provided and do a "save target as" and save it to your desktop.

Very cool but I still stand by my original response: "too muckin fuch money." My wife would have my @ss if I bought one of those.

Got it! right click on link, save file, play file. Now if we could see both of them and a wide shot of the whole tank!

Thanks!

If this seems to be expensive, compare it to your options for providing variable water flow. This is a self-contained unit that uses very little power and does not need to plumbed. I considered Sea Swirls and decided to go with the Wave2K on my new tank with a closed loop.
