That looks awesome and a great location as well! Those side doors are good planning:). And your pup is freakin beautiful!

Thanks Matt, It is just there for construction. It will be going where the 60 and frag tank are located. This location is the back entry, it does not have power, and on the other side of the wall is my wife's hair station. If it were to go here I would have to run power, build a shelf unit for the wife, cut two large holes for cable passage and we would not get to see the tank much during our daily routine. If our plans were to stay in the house a while it might stay here, but we are trying to do the little bit of repair we need to do to put it for sale.

I finally got my ceiling patched so I could justify working a little on the tank. Going to get the rest of the glass this week and start painting the ceiling. Having multiple projects all going on at once sucks. I also need to finish a closet I built. That just needs a light and trim, but still one more thing to do.

The rest of the baffles got installed tonight. Between the tank, glass and silicone I spent less than $100. Legos and CD cases were used to jig things out. After it cures I need to add a finish bead then it will be done.

Hi Mark...great work so far...I"ll be watching your build with interest. Extra points for imaginative use of Legos! :)

You probably don't remember me from reefs.org...been out of the hobby for a while and haven't posted on any forums in ages...but saw a familiar username and thought I'd say hello.

Best of luck with the new setup!

Chris

Thanks. I remember you. Are you getting back in to the hobby?

My son (almost 5 now) found some of my old fish books a while back and started bugging me about clownfish. Then my wife started-in...so in an attempt to keep things fairly small/simple I setup a 65 gallon tank with some Marco rocks/sand (fits on an old stand I still had in the basement). They are really enjoying it...love feeding the fish and watching the tank.

Of course after a few months with this tank I'm bored already and miss my old 180 reef. I'm trying to pretend it's not...but it's already happening...picked-up a controller on-sale recently...eyeing-up better lights...browsing frag sites...just yesterday I noticed a box of glass drill bits in my workshop...

It's like falling down a hill! :)

I know what you mean. After my 160 and a few years off I was convinced the 60 cube I have now was the biggest tank I would ever do again. Now, even before the 120 is going, I am thinking about doing a 6ft 270-300gal in a few years.

Yeah that 60 of yours looks great...was checking out your other thread.

You will be partly to blame now when I setup another SPS tank! ;)

I really like that stand(i imagine beers etc placed on the flaps) man and good luck with the transfer:thumbsup:
