You seem grumpy Mark. Border collie pup says cheer up!

Then take some pictures:lolspin:

Cute puppy. I have been working on my wife for a year to try and get a new BC. If I were not mid tank construction on the new tank I would get one in the next few weeks. The "local" breeder just had a litter of 9. A mix of reds and merles. They should have had another litter, but it is not listed on their web page. My hobby funds are currently tied up on the tank.

I'm not grumpy, just busy. I have gone over a week twice this month where I get home from work, eat, leave, come home, go to bed every day. Some weeks I have to spread my tank maintenance over a few days, because I am running like crazy. I think I have nothing to do tonight. I might actually get to scrape the glass to get the coralline off.

Good luck! Hopefully you will get some time to relax over the holidays:)

Maybe. I got to cook for thanksgiving, gigs on the 6, 7 and 12th of December. My kids have a concert soon. Company party on the 5th. My oldest got invited to join her dance school's competition team, lot of practice for that. Middle kid is doing indoor percussion. Link to their school's indoor show from last year incase you do not know what it involves. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z87wrnUgAH8
None of mine were involved last year. They both did winter guard. Kind of like the percussion thing in the link, but only color guard.

Good think I drive a compact car.

That is beautiful!!! I want a date with Miss Scarlet! Thanks for the picture Mark - enjoy your Thanksgiving, you've earned a little break in there somewhere!!

thanks for picking at me to take pictures. I gave the tank a once over while taking the top downs. I need more flow. All the growth has really blocked some of the flow. I think I am going to pick up a smaller gyre and add it in. It is something I was planning on getting for the 120 anyway.

Anyone know of sales this weekend?

Nice, Mark!
Man, your tank is really hitting it's stride for growth..
Looks fantastic..
Thanks for the pics!

The gyre is a good idea.. I run 3 in my tank and love how they move water.

At least your keeping busy for all the good/right reasons.

Thanks Matt. I almost feel bad that I will be taking it down, but the 120 will really give things room to grow.

I am planning 4 gyre in the 120. Two of the smaller and two of the bigger. Was going to go with vortecs, but the 3 MP10's I have will not work, the glass is to thick on the 120. They were going to be my front to back pumps. So since I need to buy all new pump the 4 gyres are less expensive than 4 MP40's.

I think so. I have to run to New Orleans today and drop off my bass amp for repair. It sounds like the speaker cone is partially separated. It happened Sunday before last at a jam session. It was the day after I played for a fund raiser. Talk about timing. My up coming gigs are on sax so I do not need the amp for a few weeks.

How far is New Orleans from LA? Is that just a quick run over?
You must really like the repair guy there..

New Orleans is in LA. It is the nearest service center for the amp I play. Only about an hour each way from Houma. Hope I like them, this is the first time it needed service since we moved home from Houston.

Gorgeous photos, you need to post these in that switching to MH thread. :)

I post pictures of my tank in that thread from time to time. The response has generally been favorable, with the expected "it would look even more better under Mh". It probably helps that my presence in that thread is not to try and convince people to change, but just to show that LED does work and should be considered as viable.

Would you say your tank looks bright, neutral, or a little dim to your eyes, when looking at it? I'm having a time with a Maxspect Razor over my 40 gallon tank. Acros are doing ok but I'm frying everything else unless even though my PAR meter reads 150 on the sandbed. I've gone to running mostly blue with just a little white (only a 2 channel fixture) to see if I can improve things but the tank looks really dim to my eyes.

My tank is bright in appearance. I get between 200 and 300 par on the bottom and around 1000 near the top center. I am actually working the white channel down to see if I can bring back some color to a few pieces that look washed out. I am at 65% on the white for the 4 hours I run at full power.
