I may be way off base and I dont have anything to back it up, however my gut tells me you will have less problems with a single drain to the pump then you will trying to get the flow from two drains to merge into one intake on a CL pump.....
Roger..
no idea. but having a bulkhead in teh bottom of the tank gives me the hebbie geebies! i'll NEVER do that. i would rather have it in the back of the tank. just my oppinion
Mike...I am getting my tank from Precision Clarity in GA. Have you looked into their tanks? A friend of mine got one from them a few weeks ago...I was so impressed with the workmanship that I ordered mine a few days later.
I stepped out of this thread for a couple of days and all sorts of things have happened. Sorry about the tank, that is a real bummer. Is the new tank going to be glass or acrilic?
You may want to think about having 2, 1.5" drains in the external overflow box, this way if a snail gets stuck in one, the other will take the flow and not cause a flood.
Thanks for the info. I have sent them a request on price. I really would like to stick with Randy at SoCal because he has been very nice and helped a lot!
