What Going On in Your System Today?

Been doing it for years. Give it a shot and see if you notice a difference in water clarity after a few days.

Yeah, I do mine once a month or so like you do... Aside from the occasional mushroom that always seems to get silt on it, everything else loves it...

I ended up not getting my cleaner pack replenished because their hermits were tiny and would get mauled by bigger ones already in my tank. I did end up getting this purple and green Wellso Brain and my first Acan frag! Don't worry the brain has opened up to a decent size now...

Hey thanks for sharing. I love those brains, it looks healthy and awesome. 2 thumbs up

Got lucky and a cluster of 6 Eagle Eye zoas fell into a sheltered spot while the rest of the colony (purchased frag) melted. Glued the healthy clump back onto the frag disc and am anxious for it to start growing :)

GHA?

I hear you on the Chaeto. Did you know it grows about an inch per day?

Mucho

PS, anyone else have anything to share?

I seem to have missed dipping something and have a outbreak of flatworms. Anybody recommend a particular type of wrasse to help with this issue?

In the process of iodine dipping a gorgeous blue/purple gonipora i couldnt resist buying... Had a small brown jelly infection. Looking like the infection is on its way out. Fingers crossed.

I have some blue tubs growing well, and got my first frogspawn about two weeks ago still doing fine. It is great watching the heads grow.

only thing new is some purple gorgonians I put in. Gotta do my WC tomorrow and I blow the rocks and crevices with a turkey blaster like you all do. Also gonna frag some PinkNGolds. They grow just as fast as my space monsters. I am definitely running out of room. Actually going to do an experiment with them in high flow/low flow, high light/low light, feed and not feed experiment I am planning.

Picked up some new Zoas and Palys at a friends place. VDM's and Pink Elephants looking very nice.

New acan making a baby, Devil's Armor making 3 new babies, Ricordea recovering from crab having a hay day with it. Crocea still trying to decide where it wants to attach on a rock, it's just spinning. lol. Looks amazing other than that.

i got rid of my condylactis anemone that my true percs were being hosted by the other day so i could re-aquascape for some of my Zs and Ps. im loving the new look and now i have a lot more room for my corals to grow out since i dont have to worry about them getting stung.

today i fragged my first coral too. sliced into a bit of my GSP and made 2 plugs. my LFS trades in corals and fish for store credit. tomorrow im considering trying to frag one of my beautifully bright orange lunar eclipse palys. i started with a frag of 3 heads and over the past 6 months it has grown into at least 35+.

I have found Yellow wrasse (Halichoeres chrysus) to be the best pest predator out there. They're known to eat flatworms. In addition, in my experience, totally reef safe, and I recently posted a thread about it eating/demolishing my infestation of vermatid snails, which I've never EVER found any reference before on ANY predator for those small tubes that grow on live rock.

HTH

I've had two Yellow Wrasses in my 120, at different times. Both of them jumped in a week or two. I'll probably try a third, but I don't like screening the top of my tank......

Then I wouldn't try any more wrasses until you fix the problem.

I performed a major bi annual cleaning/replacement/inspection of all moving parts, hoses, clamps etc. I hate coralline on my glass so I did I touch of scraping, LOL, all of a 1 inch square. :eek2:
